OT: How are our TX ladies?

I'm in the Houston area, so we don't have the problems that west Texas is having. I really feel for them. It all looks so scary on the news. My prayers are with all of them for saftey and help...We really need some rain...

Everything is ok here, actually kind freezing cold today. Supposed to rain tonight and tomorrow. tommorrow is the St. Patrick's day parade here in Shamrock. We are going cause a few friends from out of town are neeting us there. then I will go to Amarillo to take my niece home.

What is St. Patrick's day like in a town called Shamrock? Anything special going on?

We have a banquet on Friday night then on saturday night with a dance for the adults and a local band. Saturday is the parade, beard contest, lad and lassie contest for the kiddos, arts and craftss show and sale,rodeo,car show and many other things. It did rain from about 3pm til late evening with a lite drizzly rain. I am usually in the parade and last time I was I got 1st place. I drive a mini milk truck a friend or me is in my $800 cow costume. Hubby drives the tahoe with cow spots all over it. We will be in it next year cause I have a little cow costume for Zendalina to wear.

Wow that sounds like a lot of fun. I'm really looking forward to seeing next years photos when the WHOLE cow family is on parade. Zendalina is going to be SO precious.

HI APRIL and ALL!!!

Been rather down and out as well as under this week. Got home late Wed from St Louis and have a nasty sinus infection been trying to deal with. Work in the warehouse has been the pits, I have came home and went almost to bed right off. Just enough headache to be uncomfortable.

Anyhow I was hearing about the fires in the Texas panhandle but could not get names of towns until i got home and read the newspapers. WOW!!

As ya'll know too we had some BIG ones here in the Okla City metro area proper on Thursday, across and area of old GM plant and the AFB.

So happy to see the rain ALL weekend. We, as well as Texas need it so bad!!

Call me if you can/want later today or tomorrow.

Well rain rain has come to stay ... for a few days anyway. It rained all day today. Left Zen at her great grandparents for a few hours and we went to Amarillo.

All this was after my fender bender this morning in the crowded Shamrock. Yes, My first accident in 20 yrs of Driving that was my fault. Just messed up the corners of each of our trucks.

The tahoe, yes. Darrell was passenger along with 15 yr old son, Zen and my niece Neely(10). I was backing down the street and another truck was coming up the street. I moved over a little to avoid him, and didn't see the parked truck. Just a fendewr bender but i cried cause it was my first ever cause by me!... plus we were looking at the new trailblazers to get one. We need to fix this one first then go get a new trailblazer. I am better today except for slight dizziness and a headache ..all from stress I am sure. We didn't hit hard enuf to hurt anyone inside.

I am in the parade next year so i gotta get a new vehicle anyway. Would I look good in a mini cooper?...they are soooo cute!!
