OT: Hurricane Prep...

Hi, everyone.

I might be missing in action for the next few days. Right now the path of Rita is heading my way. Most of my family are in the current projected path (and close to the coast) so we are currently trying coordinate. Our main worries are my grandparents and DH's mom. We are planning on going to board up and try to make them evacuate.

Different note: This morning my heart was very heavy. I saw a vehicle loaded with a family, dog and lots of clothing etc. The back glass had been knocked out and they had Louisana license plates. They were heading out of Houston. I feel so bad for the New Orleans people that have relocated here. Most are in homes or housing now... I just can not fathom what they are going through at this point with the threat of another storm. Keep them in your prayers!!!

I will say a prayer for you, your family, and all that might be affected by this storm. I was thinking the same thing earlier about what these poor people must be going through right now.

I sincerely hope that your grandparent and MIL take heed from what happened in the New Orleans/Mississippi Gulf Coast area and get out. It is better to be safe and have the thing blow past, than to think you can ride it out and find out too late that you were wrong.
