OT; I did it, I bought ---

well thanks to all ya'll technological genius in here and not to mention ENABLERS, I finally was overcome by temptation and after many painstaking, back and fort, reading print and online, printing out comparos, reviews and all, and needing to feed my depression or need to spend some money, I bought a digital camera.

I had it narrowed down to two choices based on reading articles in photo mags and PC world and Computer Shopper. I was pretty hooked on after past couple years reading about the QUALITY of prints and features that Olympus cameras have.

The two choices that i had was a olympus Evolt E300 digital slr or the Fuji S5200. Maybe I should say 800 vs 400 $'s?

Anyhow I ordered the Fuji one from Dell, YESTERDAY. I also had a special coupon from them as well as free s&h. Anyhow I was VERY SURPRISED tonite when I got home, it was here already - WOOHOO!!

So now I have to learn this thing.

APRIL, isn't it the same one you have? Anyhow if it is, oh guess who may be calling you OFTENER than you thought - LOL!!

So I am now slowly becoming a geek I guess, now I just need ot learn the Photoshop editing program - ugh!! No patience for that as I could (?) better spend my time ere listening to ya'll yak!!

I have a fujifilm S5000 digital camera... cost about $400. It is actually my second one as I lost my first one by leaving it on the chair at the airport coming back from Minnesota. I use the usb cable to uplaod them to my computer then edit them from the adobe photo deluxe home edition 4.0 . I have used the adobe program since forever I think. Not really familiar with any other program right now.

Congratulations Dave ! Don't forget to READ the instruction book!(We all know how men are with reading directions)LOL

**ducking for cover!** I thought I could figure mine out all by myself, and I wasted a lot of good photos and ended up with pictures that were blurry, bad lighting..etc.. because I didn't fully read the manual! I still have to go back and refresh my memory sometimes. Good Luck!!

Photoshop is a nice program. You may also want to look at Google's free program, Picasa Photo Organizer. See
