OT: I've returned and thank yous...LONG!

I'm back...did you miss me? LOL We got back from Christmas in NM on the

1st, but I've been busy trying to catch up, pick up, etc.

I hope everyone had a great Christmas holiday and is off to a great New Year! The wonderful SSS (which I have learned was April and Dave...you sneaks!) gave me lots of goodies. One box was Dave's famous fiber flingers! Some were empty and they will be definately come in handy, but lots of them had wonderful pretty fibers on them. The other box was just full of all kinds of different goodies! Oh my goodness, I can't begin to go into detail, there was just so much. Thank you both, Dave and April. You both are wonderful for all that you did!

I need to also say thank you for all the cards I got. Thank you to ChrissyM, Sandy, Kenda, purplerags, LindaC, Kate, April, MC, Dave, and MelK. We throughly enjoyed them all, and all were precious. Thank you so much!

We had a wonderful visit with my family and it was extra special since we haven't been able to have Christmas with them in several years. DH and I managed to actually get each other the same gift! We each bought each other all 5 of the Harry Potter DVDs. He opened his first and said "Oh no, you didn't." I immediately knew why and said "Oh no, you didn't, did you?" He just nodded and I picked up what looked like 5 DVDs and opened them. There they were, all 5 Harry Potter DVDs! ROFL Needless to say, we took one set back. LOL

Mom made all 3 grandkids puppet theaters! They hang in the doorway on a rod and each came with 3 puppets. I hung them in their doors while they were at MIL's last week and the kids have just left them there. LOL So not only do they have a door, they have a privacy door! LOL I'll have to get pics uploaded to share. I'm so proud of my mom's talent!

All in all, it was a good Christmas all around. Got lots of pics, too. Mom missed a perfect picture opportunity though. DS and DN went outside to play the day I bought DS new tennis shoes. DH told them to stay out of the sandbox. They came in sometime later, after Mom was seeing a dust cloud fly by the windows, just absolutely covered in dirt. DH was in shock at how dirty they were and that DS's new shoes were now brown and pointed out that he told them to stay out of the sandbox. DS replied "We did. We played in the dirt." ROFL They built "volcanos" in the dirt, a foot high volcano, and then "made it explode" by stomping and jumping on it. Two boys, 6 and

5, with a foot high dirt mound, all equals FILTHY dirty boys. LOL I was out with DD at the time, and found all this out when I came back and the boys were in the tub taking a bath. I helped them wash their hair and found dirt in their hair! LOL I asked DS if they had fun playing in the sandbox (before I knew what they did). He said "Daddy said we couldn't play in the sandbox. We played in the dirt." As a parent, we thought "Do not play in the sandbox" also meant "Do not play in the dirt". As a child, they understood "Do not play in the sandbox" so therefore the dirt on the ground was fair game. After Mom told me the whole story, and I'm laughing my head off, and asked her if she got a picture of them before the bath. She said no! I couldn't believe that she passed up a perfect picture opportunity, not to mention the LO I just missed out on! LOL But it was a good visit, though.

DH and I picked up 3 more photo boxes from Hobby Lobby on Saturday so now all my photos over the years from before we had a digital camera are in photo boxes instead of shoe boxes. Three of them are full, the 4th just has a few in it. Of course, this means that most of the digital pic aren't printed! I either need to reactivate my Snapfish account and get them printed or just invest in a photo printer. LOL That's 2.41 gigs of photos! EEK! LOL Really have to do something about getting them printed.

We also picked up one of the CraftMate totes with 6 containers in it. That really helped unclutter my embellishments. I've also gone on a "no buying paper or embellishments this year" agreement with myself. I just haven't used what I have and see no point in accumulating more when I have so much already. I told DH my thoughts and he's ok, but understands that SU things don't count. Of course, usually I'm buying SU products with a particular project or workshop in mind.

I'm really behind on posts, but I'm going to try to reply to some. Please don't feel offended if I don't reply to your post, though. I just can't reply to all of them, not unless I want to actually get caught up with things at home. :-)

Welcome back Deb. I missed you. Glad you had a wonderful time with your family. How is your hand, all healed?

I love little boy logic. How funny. You could still scrap the story. Maybe use some paper dolls in place of your son and nephew.

I agree with your don't need to buy anything else. After this Christmas, I don't know where I'm going to put everything. But I know that won't stop me from getting new stuff! :-)
