I got an interesting phone call from the newspaper this morning. The man asked for my son and I told him he wasn't home. He said he was calling about the letter he received concerning my son's lifelong dream. I asked what lifelong dream and he said his dream of becoming a newspaper carrier before he died. If the caller id didn't have the newspapers name and if the man wasn't so sincere I would have just hung up. Anyway the guy went on to read the letter to me which pretty much said my son was dying and then said that they wanted to give him a newspaper route and do a story on him. I had to inform the man that my son was almost 20 years old, went to school during the day and worked in the evening and I doubted he ever wanted to become a newspaper carrier. Evidently one of his friends thinks himself or herself funny and started a pity party for my son at the local newspaper.
I just told my son who thought it was absolutely hilarious and ran upstairs to plot his revenge...
