OT: Neighboorhood Tragedy - prayers needed

Yesterday morning we lost three teens here in Pike county in a terrible auto accident, two of them were neighbors. Several car loads of teens from here were on their way to a concert in Indy when the last car with four boys in it swerved for some unknown reason and hit a semi head-on. Two of the boys (one living next door to us and in DD's class in school, and the other across the street and up two houses - DD's friend's older brother) were killed instantly, one of the other boys died a couple of hours later and the fourth is in critical condition in the Louisville hospital. Last year the week before school started DD's class lost a classmate when he drowned in a lake at church camp. Now this. I don't know how these children will be able to handle all of this. Let alone the families of the four boys. I so feel for the mother next door as two years ago she lost her husband when he committed suicide and now her yourgest son to an accident. I sent DD to her older sister's last night to spend a couple of days. She fell apart every time she walked through the living room or dining room as she could see all of the visitors at the houses next door. They have already made arrangements for extra counselors at school next week when it opens. We are in such a small rural community here and all of these children have been together since kindergarten. It will be a difficult time. Sandy

How totally sad. We lost some kids when I went to school too. 5 girls were in a car and were drag races a couple of boys. The girls lost control of the car and crashed 4 were killed at the scene and the other one had brain damage, but lived. I hardly ever go by that corner without remembering them and that was in 1965.

Thoughts and prayers going up for all of those in your town affected near or far by this terrible tragedy. I will also pray that the councellors work their magic!
