OT: Package ordeal

Here recently we talked about package and shipper snafus. Well UPS finally got me. One of the large orders I had I was looking for. Due to pc glitches thanks to IE7 last week I could not find anything out till on Friday. Anyhow I saw where this special package was delivered on Monday?!

Knowing it was the weekend and a holiday I waited until Monday to call the company I got it from and UPS. UPS basically told me it was delivered. BULL!

Well the company told me they would call and trace the package. They then called me back and told me they were told they had a wrong or incomplete address and could not deliver it.

HELLO!! I have lived here 11 years the address was correct and even my phone number was on it! I was nice at the UPS counter this morning while they took one hour to "find it and they told me to call the drivers supv and gave me the phone number. I got this lady and she said the driver was new. I told her I have been home every day for three weeks now and the truck comes thru every day between 4 and 5. She said then he could not find MY address. So I asked why he did not call as my number was on it and she said "He did not know that was your phone no!" gggrrrr!!!!

Yes by this time I was beginning to lose it over their ineptitude. So I asked her why didn't a supv or whoever check the address in a mapfinder or something or try the phone. "It isn't our responsibility!"

Anyhow I got the package and called back the shipper. They were very happy to hear that I got it and WAS even happier with the contents! They told me they have had the worst luck lately with UPS, but FEDEX is the worst!!

Sorry long, but had to share!!

((HUGS!))

I can top that. I sent a package to my folks and instead of ringing the door bell (at 2 p.m.) he left a "you weren't home" notice. Headed to Watkins for lunch and headed for home.

He then promptly lost the package when I called elmira. I made him search his truck. Out of curiousity I asked his supervisor to open his locker and check there. Low and behold my folks package, opened of course, was in his knapsack in his locker.

Needless to say I had him fired. Made the supervisor deliver the package.
