OT: Prayer request; info, may not be posting much

Just some info for you ladies and gents. I may not be posting much, or if I do please excuse my spelling. Hoepfully I won't offend anyone! I woke up at work on Friday moring around 3 am having what I'm sure was a gallbladder attack. I couldn't get out of bed, thought I was dying the pain was so bad. It subsided a bit, decided that I could finish my shift. Went to the doctor yesterday, couldn't get in until afternoon. I am scheduled for an ultrasound mondya morning. I'm also on heavy duty pain pills and off work tomorrow.

Ontop if it all my grandma is in the hospital dying. I can't get there sa she's in Pensacola. I'm afraid to travel as I don't want to end up in the hospital either in Pensacola or somewhere in between. I've talked whith her on the phone early this afternoon. We've said our "I love you's". She signed a DNR order just before I called. Her blood work shows she's bleeding somewhere and they can't find where. They've given her blood twice now and it hasn't helped. If you ladies/gents will please offer up a prayer for my grandmother. I think she's ready to go, she just needs an easy passing.

I'll be crawling under a rock for a while. I maypost a bit but will nodoutb just read. thanks

Kenda, I am so sorry to hear about your grandmother. I know how much you want to be there. Even when all is said and done and your loved one is ready to go, it still is very hard on those left behind. I hope you get to feeling better soon, and Monday's test is all good news. I know we'll miss you, and look forward to your swift return. Take care.

Kenda, Life can seem so unfair at times. I've had so many people tell me over the years that God does not give us more than he knows we can handle, though I do wonder at times. My prayers are with you and your grandmother that she be given the peace she desires and an easy road to go. Hopefully they will find out right away what your health issue is and it is easily taken care of. Sandy

Kenda, I hope that everything is ok with you, and that your grandmother no longer has to suffer. I know that sounds harsh, but I am sure that you have been told and you know that she would be in a much better place and watching over you all the time. You may take it as you will. Personally, I hope that she recovers so that she is not in any pain, but if you say they can not find where she is bleeding from internally, then I just hope that she does not have to suffer anymore. You are both in my prayers.

Kenda I'm so sorry to hear that you are not feeling well. I'm praying that everything goes well with your ultrasound on Monday. My prayers are also with your grandmother and her doctors that they will be able to find out what is causing her bleeding. Take care.

Many thanks to everyone for their prayers for my Grandma. She is much better. She was released from the hospital yesterday. The drs. gave her blood 3 times. The 3rd time really seemed to help. My cousin (she's my age with small children) had a long talk with one of the nurses concerning my Grandma's condition. Seems like all the ole gal needed was some good nutrition. My cousin explained Grandma's living with her daughter (my and my cousin's aunt) and Cousin felt like she wasn't getting the proper care/nutrition she needed, essentially being neglected to a certian degree. After a long conversation with the nurse she hugged my cousin and told her she would do what she could, this was on Sunday. The nurse called social services and got them involved. So it looks like at least for a while my Aunt will have to make sure she feeds Grandma right and gives her her meds on time. In the mean time my cousin who has been "cast" from that part of the family at least had my Grandma's sisters to back her up, will be doing what she can to keep an eye on Grandma. My Dad called Grandma yesterday and said she sounded much better. Please keep in mind there is an awful lot to this story concerning my aunt who is supposed to be the caregiver that I just can't go into here, just a really big mess. I as well as my parents feel really helpless. All we can do is give my Cousin our love and support.

I still feel like something the dog drug in. The ultrasound I had yesterday showed no gallstones. I returned to the dr. today. After he asked me if I'd ever had a particular test, testing for how well my gallbladder funtions we counted up the number of times I've had a gallbladder ultrasound. Since

1995, 6! So on Thursday morning I go for a test were they check to see if it's squeezing out appropriately when they inject the "gut hormone" (as my dr. called it)(it's what the body produces when you eat telling the gall bladder to squeeze bile out for digestion) . After much discussion and he being just sure I'd had one done before I finally said, "sounds like what you ordered for my oldest when he was having problems with his". Slaps his forhead, "yeah, well at least I had the right family!" I'd go sooner but the hospital has to order this "gut hormone". Hopefully I'll know something shortly after the test. In the mean time I'm still living on pain killers and very little food. But hey I've lost 5 lbs since Friday! 'Course it'll all come right back once I go back to eating regularly!

Many thanks to all for the wonderful thoughts and prayers, prayers helped give Grandma the strength she needed to get well.
