Our new home in the country...

If anyone's curious about where I moved to (we moved in September from San Antonio to Boerne, TX, about 30 min away), I have the photos posted that we took before we moved in. The house is approx. 110 years old without central air or heat but it has a gorgeous back yard, 9 pecan trees, 1 fig tree, 1 enormous palm tree (one of only 3 in the town, all planted around the same time) and a wonderful front porch. Anyway the pictures are up on my website at

You can just look at the thumbnails or click on them to see larger photos. Oh, and the one of the lizard we named Big Henry. He was living on the front porch when we moved in... Unfortunately Big Henry's life was short-lived once we moved in with 4 cats... :( -CC

It's a cute little house with so much potential. I can't imagine a house without heat living in Canada and presently freezing my butt off with the furnace running on high. LOL I love the front porch. I've always wanted one. The garden looks interesting too. So much you can do with it. It's a very cozy looking house.

Wow CC! What a wonderful old house!! I am partial to old houses as well. Our house is over 100 years also. Your yard sounds so neat. Sorry to hear about the lizzard (oops) Cats do seem to love to go after those. Thanks for sharing!

What a great house. I bet the yard will be wonderful in the summer with all those trees to shade it. I like the vine growing up the side of the house.

I love your home - it seems very comforting. I love older houses and would love to buy an old farmhouse and restore it. Doubt it will ever happen though. Can't say I like the lizard:o)

I like the house. I really like the old fashion claw foot tub, one of my wants for our house when we get one. Poor big Henry.
