Portable Scrapping

I'll be going on a trip to San Antonio (a Riverwalk hotel!) in a couple of days. I've got a mobility impairment and don't do very well health-wise if I don't rest properly. So I've decided to take a handful of page kits with me so that I'll be more likely to spend time in my hotel room relaxing on hot afternoons.

I use the kit method, so I already had several pages set up in kits. I picked up some travel tools at Michael's:

12" portable paper trimmer and spare blades (Fiskars) a hermafix dispenser (little squares of double-stick stuff)

Other tools I already had: scissors rulers pencils gluesticks

If I decide a page really needs ribbon or brads, I'll just add those things when I get home.

Have I left out some really obvious tool that I'm going to kick myself if I forget?

I hear it is pretty warm in San Antonio now...

Other than dropping in some post-a-notes for reminders of things to add when you get home it sounds good to me. I always include a journaling pen as I just do hand journaling when I'm away from home. It sort of forces me to leave behind my own hand writing. Doesn't a member of the group live in San Antonio? Jacqui I think.

You are going to love your trip! I also stayed in a Riverwalk hotel and I love, love, loved it!!! And I hope you an Jackie can hook up! She was the one that took me to San Antonio when she went to visit her family, and she was such a great guide!

Hope you're settling in nicely into your new home, Jackie! M-C

need to measure something or use it to tear paper or whatever?

I'm such a packrat I'd have to take a whole extra suitcase of stuff, LOL. Hope you have fun! I love San Antonio and the Riverwalk, makes me want to go on a weekend vacation too! :-)

Sounds like you've got everything you'lll need. I'm with Sandy, some post it notes, or even scratch paper to make notes of anything that you'll need to add or do after you get back home. I hope you have a wonderful trip, and enjoy your stay. I was in San Antonio in Feb. of 2005, and had a great time. You'll love the Riverwalk area!

I've got the journaling covered -- already printed on cardstock for each page. (I don't much want to leave behind my own handwriting ... due to my "issues" even *I* can't read it!) :-)

The post-it notes are a good idea, especially since my memory is so bad!

Thanks,

I stayed in a hotel a couple of years ago that was supposedly on Riverwalk, but was actually separated from it by construction and non-accessibility. The one this year is (better be!) right in the middle of the good part.

I was actually born > You are going to love your trip! I also stayed in a Riverwalk hotel and I
