Put a special POEM on my website

A friend of the family wrote a poem for my dad and I posted it on my website. She wants me to send it to all I can so I figured I would let my friends here at RCS read it first.

What a beautiful poem April. What a wonderful friend your family has and what a tragedy your family has had to endure. I'll say a prayer everyday for your Dad. Thank you for sharing it with us.

The words are wonderful and the sentiment great, the outrage I feel right now is without bounds. Since the girls recanted, why isn't he free. I will pray for him, for you, and for us as a society that we will find a balance again. There must be a way to protect the innocent without creating new innocent victims. How sad and it is all so easy to do, to have happen. I know DH doesn't dare close his office door when he is with a student. He said, she said, when did that become enough to ruin a person's life and the lives of all those who cherish them. I'm going to go ruminate in my corner now.

April, Thank you for sharing this painful burden with us. I will keep you all in my prayers and hope the right ears may hear of his plight. Incidents such as this make it hard to believe in our justice system, but usually right will prevail. The right attorney will come forward that will see this through for all of you. big hugs to you all!!

What a very special poem. How awful for your family to have to go through this. And your poor mother. I pray for your fathers release.

That is a sad story April. But I'm curious as to how he can still be in there when the girls have admitted to lying?

That is a great poem!!! I'm sorry to hear about your Dad. Like Trish I'm wondering why he is still there if the girls lied.

What a powerful poem April, and how sad a story. I'm more angry than sad, though. How can things like this happen? If the girls recanted, then he shouldn't still be in jail. I hope the right attorney hears of this and comes forward to help him.

We have told a new lawyer about it. We had to get a lawyer that was not in the area were the incident supposedly happened. My dad was on the truth in spending commity and the city and the EDC hated the group. SO they figured they would try to get him out this way so I say he was framed and the inner circle of the city wanted my dad out no matter the costs. I don't know where the girls are. I need to find them so they can talk to the lawyer. one day soon he will be with us. I don't want him to die in there. He is 78 and many mediacal complications. He needs to be home with us even house arrest till it is done with..but the lawyer is taking care of that.

Wow, April! I guess I feel the same as everyone else. I too don't understand why they can still hold him when the girls have admitted they lied. Whatever possessed them to lie to begin with? How can we help? I hope the new attorney is able to get his sentence lifted, recanted whatever it is they do. I hope all is well in the end. I will continue to keep you and yours in my prayers.
