I just have to go to the bank on Saturday for some US$$$ and I can mail them right out. They didn't turn out the way I wanted them to because NOBODY had what I was looking for to embellish them. I even had two co-workers out looking too. I hope you all enjoy the pages, and especially the recipe.

Yeah Cleo. I'm sure they look great and will taste great... the recipe that is. :) Scrapping is a work of art and sometimes it has a mind of it's own.

Did I mention that in my younger days, I used to work wonce a week as a babysitter for a scrapbooking club at our local church? I would entertain the children in the "Nursury" room, while the mothers worked on their scrapbooks down the hall. I think it was more of a "social" thing for the women, than an actual "job." At the end of the day, the mothers would share what they had done that day with me, and then I would pretend like I wasn't expecting money from them.
Here's how it would go:
(Mother #1) "Look what we did today!" (shows me her scrapbook page)
(Me) "Oh, wow, that looks nice. Well, I've got to get going. I'll see you next week." (walks towards door)
(Mother #1) "Wait a sec, hun." (digs into purse) "Here you go, here's
10 dollars for watching little Cissy (or Taylor, or Ashlee, or Madison, or whatever)."(Me) "Hmm? Oh, jeez, thanks!"
Then the other mothers would then follow suit, and I'd end up making an easy 50-60 bucks.
The end.
I'll bet they are wonderful!! Don't worry about them not turning out the way you wanted them to. Mine haven't either! I finally decided how to do them, started last night then discovered I didn't have enough of "this" so had to go out this morning to get more "this". I'm looking forward to seeing them!! How cool is it to get some from overseas!
You're a hoot wavy! What's your wife like. Do your kids act crazy like their dad.
Can't wait to see your pages Cleo!
Eastbound and down, loaded up and truckin', we're gonna do what they say can't be done. We got a long way to go, and a short time to get there. I'm eastbound, just watch ol' "shannon" run.
Well, luckily (for the single women, at least, lol), I am not yet married. I just did that job a few years back to earn some extra drinking money. Thank you, though, for the compliment. I look forward to chatting with you in the future. I love you.

I then went to get the addy and took a closer look at the details and sure enough I have PLENTY of time! LOL But at least they're done.....no chance of accidently getting behind......yeah! In fact I've looked at the reciepe so much the last few days, I just might make it up today. yyuummmmmmmyyy!!!!!!!!! That'll make DS's hapy
Posted mine yesterday and hope they make their way quickly over the waters :) It's also not exactly what I pictured in my minds' eye - searched high and low for certain embelishments, but to no avail. Anyway, hope you guys like it.

Sabrina I had the SAME problem in December. The brown seems to be a scarce color. Why I don't know.
Lynne
Oh I'm sure they're great Judy!! Can't wait to see them....!!
They'll be great Judy. I've only had one ever come back that wasn't any good. Now don't get scared. This lady zeroxed a recipe on colored paper and sent it along. She knew full well that she wasn't keeping in the spirit of the swap, because I had gotten other things from her in other swaps. She just lost interest I guess.

I had to settle for another type of handmade paper ina much lighter shade! DH says it looks good to him...but he just didn't have my concept in his head as I did . On the other hand it is taking so long to do them...ugh. I have the whole pages all done...it's the embellishment that takes so long. Just have three finished with embellishments.

My Christmas swap I had the page done easily, but wanted these little gingerbread men made out of you guessed it brown mulberry. Had trouble getting enough and then those little dickins were so hard to make and I had to make 12 of them. They sure turned out cute, but made me reconsider using mulberry for that purpose unless I only had to make one. :D
Lynne
Hmmm seems like I remember getting a recipe page with the cutest little gingerbread guys on mulberry paper! Were you in that swap? Now I have to go get my books and look ! I remember thinking they were such a cute idea!
