Did I mention that in my younger days, I used to work wonce a week as a babysitter for a scrapbooking club at our local church? I would entertain the children in the "Nursury" room, while the mothers worked on their scrapbooks down the hall. I think it was more of a "social" thing for the women, than an actual "job." At the end of the day, the mothers would share what they had done that day with me, and then I would pretend like I wasn't expecting money from them.
Here's how it would go:
(Mother #1) "Look what we did today!" (shows me her scrapbook page)
(Me) "Oh, wow, that looks nice. Well, I've got to get going. I'll see you next week." (walks towards door)
(Mother #1) "Wait a sec, hun." (digs into purse) "Here you go, here's
10 dollars for watching little Cissy (or Taylor, or Ashlee, or Madison, or whatever)."
(Me) "Hmm? Oh, jeez, thanks!"
Then the other mothers would then follow suit, and I'd end up making an easy 50-60 bucks.
The end.
