Reorganized Scrap Area

It took me two weeks instead of one, but I think I finally have my scrap area cleaned (or as clean as it's gonna get). The library card catalog cabinet worked out great for scrapbook supplies such as stamps, punches, fibers, border templates, stamp pads, etc. I have it filled up already, and did a lot of sorting as I cleaned and filled. My corner of the office area is used both for scrapbooking and my genealogy and county history research and makes for an interesting combination. Pictures are in the misc album of my webshots account.

Sandy, Your room is great! In fact, I could see my own there. I also have a card catalog (I'm a retired elementary librarian) which I use for storage and a corner where I store my genealogy and history materials. They do seem to go together so well, don't they?

That is truly a very well organized area! Right now I have all the room imaginable, but I'm sure that when we move again, things will be different and I'll have to put things back into a much smaller room! You have great ideas here. Thanks for sharing!

I love it! You did a great job. I love the card catalog! I am still working on mine. I just received my verticle storage yesterday. I hope it turns out as good as yours!

TFS!

Looks wonderful, Sandy! Very clean and organized.

I just love the old card catalog cabinet--reminds me of when I was in college a hunnert years ago ;-) I worked in two different libraries and had to alphabetize those cards...wish I could 'happen' upon one of those cabinets myself! What a great piece of furniture, not just for organizing. :-)

What a great organized scrap area!!! I am amazed at how much "stuff" you have! I showed my DH the pictures, and his eyes got real big! LOL Then I told him not to give ME a hard time about the supplies that I buy! Great job and looks fantastic! Linda C

You did a great job Sandy! I am slowly working on getting mine cleaned up. I want to do some rearranging but with my resticted weight lifting that will have to wait until I get the all clear from the Dr. (crossing fingers it's today) I have been slowly cleaning out and sorting, trying to get it so things will work better for me. Eventually I will. Now to work on my sewing area.......did get all that fabric that Dave sent sorted and organized........man that was nearly an all day job! LOL

I like the pictures, great for ideas! I wish I could come across a card catalog, at least one that isn't in terrible shape........lucky you!

When I was a kid I practially lived at the library. It was airconditioned and I used to sit in the corner on the tile floor and read. When I bought it, it was like bringing a memory home. I do think scrapbooking and genealogy go hand in hand. Sandy

I still have my fingers crossed for an addition to use for the majority of the daycare activities. It will free up the rest of the room so I can "spread out" and have more elbow room. When my DD scraps with me she usually sits on the floor. I would love to have a second table. Sandy

Thanks. The drawers for the cardstock are a real time saver. I wish I had done that sooner. It makes it so easy to find just what I want when I want it. Sandy

Thanks. Now I really need to tackle the rest of the house. State inspections start in July. Sandy

I think it just looks like so much because I have it spread out where I can see all of it. I like not having it packed in the rolling totes I take to crops, because I don't have to dig for it. This way I can take exactly what I know I need with me. Sandy
