Rotten Stinkin' Poodle!

That is the nickname my kids gave the dog when she came to us as a puppy. It's done with the utmost of love and frustration as she ran through the house with their stuffed animals. Now that she's 4 she gets called that very seldom as she's more mature now. HA!

Last night I had a scrapbook project in the works. I was one large shiny sparkly sticker short of finishing my project. So, I took a matching piece that was just paper. I used Crystal Effect with some glitter mixed in and spread it on the object I wanted to make it match my other stickers. It was looking like it was going to be really nice. Not an exact match, but close enough. It was drying on my craft table. I went back to check on it and see how my experiment was progressing and it was gone! I thought OH NO it's stuck on me some where. I looked and looked for it. Then looked through the house. Later that night the dog had something white in the hair on her ear. I called her over to pluck it out and it was kind of stuck, but came loose. Suddenly, "Rotten Stinkin' Poodle" came to mind as I turned it over to see what it was it was a piece of my sticker experiment. I rolled her on her back and one of her paws was noticeable sticky still! For some unknown reason she stepped up on my craft table and got my project stuck to her foot. She obviously chewed it off.

So what, I need to close my craft room door to keep the poodle out of my craft projects now?! Geeze!

Great story . . . . brought back memories of when I was quilting-I'd leave the room only to return to find the dog sleeping on my sewing table on the quilt (and giving me the look of "huh? What? I'm not doing anything wrong.") My cat has taken up that charge-loves to crawl up on any table and sit in front of you. Gotta love 'em! Kathy

I bought us a pair of basic christmas stockings to decorate and I put them out on the table this afternoon... and as soon as I did, Silver jumped up onto them and made herself at home - she obviously thought that the only decoration required was cat fur :P The girls also like to walk all over my work - Scouty'll jump up and plunk herself down right on top of it if she wants some attention :)

LOL I had to laugh at your poodle and the nickname. Hopefully you were able to redo the experiment! Sometimes pets can be just like a child. LOL Apparently, Digit doesn't think I should work on Christmas cards, because everytime I sit down to work on them, he comes over and plops himself down right in front of me.

ROFL!!! I've had this stuff happen with my cat, thankfully my lab doesn't come in the craft area unless he has to potty. Thanks for the laugh!

My dog is still chewing the glue out of her paw. I figure it will either wear off or the hair will grow out and get shaved off. Haven't told hubby, whose the groomer, about this yet.
