Scrapbook Store Hop

I think I had posted about the scrapbook store hop I did last week where we had to visit 8 stores and get stamped at each on our passport. Each store did a 20% discount off all our purchases and each one had a make-ntake and a drawing for a door prize. The big prize for one lucky person who made it to every store was a weekend scrapbook retreat for two at Scrapbook Paradise in Kentucky. I got a phone message today telling me to call the store in Princeton - The Paper Chase because I won one of their door prizes (not the big one, but one the individual stores gave). I can't wait to call them tomorrow to see what I've won. My friend Jennie who went to part of the stores with me won the door prize at the Doodlebug in Jasper. If any of the stores around you do something like this you should give it a try...it was so much fun to try new products and see stores I didn't normally shop at.

Where is the Doodlebug in Jasper? We usually try to go to the Schnitzelbank (my husband is half german and we LOVE LOVE LOVE their food) when we come out there to visit my family, so since we'll be in Jasper anyway, I will stop by there.

How exciting. You will have to let us know what you won. They do something similar here in the Houston area. Each stores rents a charter bus and shuttles them from store to store. I haven't done it yet but it sounded interesting.

On the same highway as the Schnitz just keep going out to the K-Mart Plaza they are just a few doors to the right of the K-mart store.

I don't have LSS near me (michael's and ac moore do not count). There is one in Bayside but parking is a pain.

We have something similar here in March called the Treasure Hunt. Because we have about 16 stores within a one hour radius, we get something like 10 days to get them all done. Over 800 scrapbookers participated last year!

I got my prize packet in the mail today. It was one of the smaller consolation prizes: two sets of LO stickers ( one Christmas and one Halloween), some die cuts, a handmade card which I will definitely scraplift, a $5 gift card for their store, and a $60 gift certificate towards a weekend retreat at Cropical Paradise Scrapbooking & Spa Retreat.
