scrapbook stores??

Hi there, Anyone know of any scrapbook stores on the I5 from Washington State to south end of Portland? Or in the area? On on the coast road? Also, want to purchase a "cube' paper storage unit - seen on Ebay but expensive postage. TIA.

Do you have a link to the cube you are speaking about? Just curious about what has attracted your attention!

I found this kind of thing on eBay; if you go there and search for "cube paper storage unit" or 12 x 12 paper storage (something like that) you can see this kind of thing. It appears to be a neat way to store lots of paper. This item has wheels and has up to 23 shelves. I phoned the company (name escapes me at this moment but if you are desperate I can locate it) and they have them in far distance locations, and one store in Tigard, OR. is out of stock.

Oooh I saw that in AC Moore the other day, I'm sure Michaels has it as well. If you mean the one that is black and comes with a dust cover I know what you mean. I don't especially like it since the dust cover doesn't exactly fit but it does keep a ton of paper in it.

Hi there! I live in Seattle, WA so I can help you a bit.

There is a large Joanne's in Lynnwood, about 1 mi off the Freeway (1-5) that's awesome. There is also a Micheals in Lynnwood, just off the freeway.

There is another place called "inspired memories" in lynnwood, also not far off the freeway.

There is another place called "scrap-pages" in Shoreline, just South of Lynnwood, on 99 (a mile west of the freeway), and another Joanne's just south of there.

I hope that helps!

Hi Kate, I haven't heard of AC Moore but will see if this store is on my travels thru Wa. and Or. States I think it sound like the same thing, black with the wheels (hubby says "where are you going to put it?" so have to be ready to move it around ) Our Michaels doesn't have them but may be the one south of the border will. There is a two cube and a three cube one and it's about?? $40.00. Thanks for information.

Hi Jessica, Thanks for all the helpful information about the scrapbook store locations. I have been to Michael's in Lynwood so know of its location, but haven't been since I began scrapbooking (except locally). Will definitely check them out - Joanne's sounds like a good place to start! Maybe one of these stores will have a paper storage unit. I contacted the wholesale people and they only gave me the location in Tigard, Or. Thank you.

I have one of these, and I have seen them at Target, and Walgreens too. It was one of the first units I bought to store paper. I have found that the corners of paper tend to get bent if you're not careful getting them in and out of the unit. I have since bought vertical paper storage for most of my paper. I use that unit now with the shelves vertical intstead of horizontal, (kind of like a book case) to store my page kit sets and extra page protectors and misc items in. Great for paper stacks too!

I hope you find what you are looking for! Linda

Hi Kate & Linda, The eBay pic link is very much like the three cube system I've seen - thanks Kate. Do you have a pic of the vertical one your using now, Linda, or where you purchased it? Thank you both for help. I have found a link that lists all scrapbook places in Washington which maybe useful so will post later today in new thread. Came across it while looking for JoAnne's in Lynwood, Wa.

Hallo again, Well, we're back from our trip to Oregon. I found three good scrapbook stores en route in Washington and Oregon. Also, located Michael's in Lynwood and it's the same as here.

Didn't get the paper storage unit I was looking for did get an excellent one at Lasting Memories in Lynwood, Wa. It's clear plastic and all the shelves (ten in a box) clip together. Someone mentioned this store at Lynwood, the location is near Mervyn's old store??? Very nice people and definitely worth a visit. Didn't locate JoAnne's though, another time perhaps, nothing in Target or Walmart.
