I finally decided that I'd better quit dithering about what to buy from creative express and just buy it. Alas their mother's day sale was already over so the tools I'd been contemplating were back to their normal price and out of the running, but I still got some good stuff. I got a mini handheld leaf punch and a couple of small flower/leaf punches and a medium sized flower punch and a brown marbled inkpad and some paper on sale and some brads/glitter on sale... I was very tempted to buy a Fiskars edging punch but I decided they cost too much, and then I noticed that the site sells colluzzles and templates! I've been wanting one of them for ages but it's expensive so I haven't got it yet... I bit the bullet and bought a heart/tag starter set (since what I really wanted was a tag template) and the envelope template, which is something else I REALLY WANTED.
Now I just have to wait for it to be delivered... and yes I spent a lot more than my fifteen dollar gift voucher - John told me I could have fifty dollars on top of that for my birthday :)
And my other birthday present is a Fiskars Scrapboss, but we couldn't afford to buy any templates for it just now so I'll only have the one it comes with! I followed somebody else's tip and ordered a matching pair of cheap plastic stencils from creative express - this person said that if you punch a hold in the top edge of them you can use them in the scrapboss - just put one stencil underneath your cardstock and the other above it and use it like the very expensive Fiskars ones! If it works it's a neat idea that'll save a lot of money...
