I too am a FLASS... and proud of it. I love getting new things. It really doesn't matter what it is... tools, paper, brads... whatever. If it's new I need some. Yesterday, I came home from work and was disappointed that there was no package. BUT alittle later the nice UPS man came by and gave me a delivery of cardstock I ordered. Change my mood instantly! Well, I am off to run a few errands... can't tell you where I am going, it will just comfirm I am what I am!

Thanks for the welcome everyone!! I'm sure I'll eventually get around to actually USING all my stuff (once I get past the "taking it out just to look at" stage, that is). But DD has just run off with my Fiskars paper trimmer - EEEK! - are family members allowed to do that? I think I'm having withdrawal symptoms!!

And this is definitely a support group - supporting BEING a FLASS! I just read the Oval Templates thread and now I've added Coluzzle's to my wishlist. There's no end to this, is there????

I am back with a FLASS update! I went to run some errands and had certain things in mind but you all know we stray from what we set out for. I got some acrylic paint and MM foam stamps. Of couse then I wanted to make sure I had foam brushes. Off I went to that area of the store... you have to check on the rub-ons while you are over there. I wouldn't want them to feel left out ;) A few glittered rub-ons found there way home with me too. All in all, not alot spent... coupons are a great thing. Dh came home and asked what the heck I was doing with paint but before I answered, he said "nevermind, show me when your done!" LOL

OK fellow Flass people... fess up... who else got new stuff recently!

My name is Susan and I am a BIG TIME FLASS!!!! Oh boy! Are you ready for a novel???

It all started with a couple of CM classes. Then my DD wanted to hang out with a girl from school and my rule was "if I haven't met the parents....you don't hang out". The girls found discussed that both of the mom's scrapbooked and felt that was a good start. (Let me tell you....the other girls mom was into it Waaaaay more than I was.....at the time). Sooo, we made plans to go to a movie with DD's friend and her mother. Never made it to the movie but instead went out for pizza and chatted FOREVER. As it turned out, the mother (aka Faye...aka TampaFay from this newsgroup) was involved in a newsgroup called RCS. It just so happened that she was going to a wonderful LSS (Legacies in Clearwater...which is no longer there) a week or so later to meet some of the ladies from the group (Shelley, JC, Marianne, Michelle, Christie, Dottie, Linda, Teri, etc) and wouldn't I like to go too? And I did. The ladies were all very nice and invited me to join the group (unfortunately a lot of them are no longer a part of RCS). I spent a bit of money. I don't remember how much since that was more than 4 years ago now but I thought the LSS was wonderful. Although I declined to join the group because I didn't have enough time to spend on scrapping, let alone devoting time to a newsgroup about the hobby. Welllllll, the people were so nice that I couldn't help but join. I lurked for a while then just jumped in with both feet......err hands! It was all down hill from there! Later that year I attended my 1st Expo...Memories Expo in Orlando. My good friend Shelley J (not on the group) and I went over and met Faye and the ladies from the group that she was rooming with. I spent a fortune at Expo that year.....the Crop in Style Navigator was just coming out and they had a wonderful display at Expo. I even met Curtis Platte and his wife Connie there.....they were such great people! Faye and I both ordered our Navigators from Curtis himself. Now I have so much scrapping stuff I don't know what to do with it all! Anyone that has ever been to my house will tell you that I have enought scrap stuff to open a small store! The problem is I don't have a dedicated scrapping space so my supplies are stashed anywhere and everywhere I can find a place. Hopefully that will be rectified really soon! S

Gee Katrina...I've always said I shop more than I crop...this is still true thus by stock on hand. Now to address your above comment..........You mean we are actually supposed to know what we have on hand when working on a layout???? That's a novel concept!! lol I too am guilty of having bought things (stickers, paper, embellishments) just because I like them and figured I'd use them "some day". For many of the stickers "some day" has yet to arrive and I find I've gotten away from using stickers most of the time. I also that that I had to have every style of patterend scissors that fiskars made. I've used a few, given away quite a few and still have a lot on hand that rarely get used. I have a favorite pair that I bought from CM and they don't make them anymore. S
