I fially got a day to myself after two weeks of hell - the day care continues to be monitored/inspected for the NAFCC accreditation; 4-H projects had to be completed by the 14th (both my own children and the ones in the daycare's club, plus four of my grandchildren). I don't think I hardly checked the e-mail for a week.
The crop group I joined last spring went on a bus trip to Indianapolis to go shopping. It cost me $35 for the bus - well worth the cost. I slept most of the way up - had to get up at 4:20 to get to Evansville to catch the bus. There were five of us from the old crop group going. We had a blast! The first stop was at Memoirs. They didn't know before we arrived, but there was a yard sale going on there where regular shoppers bring in things they no longer want and the store sells it for them. It was fantastic! Plus we got a
10% discount on all of the store's merchandise. I also got to play with the new cricut. Then we went to The Cheesecake Factory to eat lunch. I had never been there before. Great food and the cheesecake was to die for. After that we went to Archiver's. Yes, I did spend money there too. They had a sale on some of their leftover class kits. Then we went to Ally Scraps outside of Indy in Avon. I was glad I brought a big tote to pack all of my purchases in. They played games on the bus going up and coming back. I won two prizes - a case to hold markers and an altered album kit. There was a constant stream of snacks being passed up and down the rows of the bus and everyone had a great time. I'm ready to sign up for next years tirp. It was so nice to just sit back and enjoy the ride. Sandy
