Warhammer ideas please?

Hi all,

I have now completed 3 pages for my daughter, which are her birth and christening. But I have no idea where to start for my son! He is 13 and into Warhammer, I was wondering if anyone else has scrapped a warhammer page, or has any ideas? Meanwhile, I am going to do several pages of Mark from 1998, when he had his bedroom madeover on telly. I have loads of photo's and I think I should be able to find some nice embellishments, as his room was done on a space theme, so I will need stars, planets etc.

Many thanks

Shaz (the UK one!)

I say start with whatever is most recent and work backwords. That worked for me. By the way...what is "Warhammer"?

Your son had his room redone on t.v.???....that is so neat!

Shaz,

There is a web site with screenshots here:

the sort of PC game that it is, some are not particularly pretty to look at :-) but there are some nice backgrounds. You could perhaps print one to use as your page background. Scan the CD cover or CD and include that.

No chance you still have the packing box, is there? That could be scanned for small elements, too.

Take some closeups of the computer, joystick, etc and print those as small random elements.

You could print some of the Warhammer pictures from the internet on cardstock (acid-free) and use them on your pages. It looks great on a black background! (My 12 yo is into it also).

HI Gina

Thanks for you suggestion, Mark is into the models you make, paint and battle with, rather than the PC game. But you have given me an idea..... perhaps I could use some of the boxes they come in, and cut out the good piccies, only thing is i doubt if they are acid free?

Shaz, just make some color copies of the box graphics if you're worried about acid free. If you don't have a scanner you can take your own paper to the store for the copy machine.

Why treat this differently to any other page?

Surely you have some photos of your son playing the game and painting his models. Why not include some smaller photos of his favourite pieces and some journalling about what he likes about Warhammer and perhaps a 'blow by blow' description of tournaments he has been in.

Let us know how you ended up doing your layout.

My husband plays Warmachine (similar to Warhammer) and I've wanted to do a scrapbook layout of it.

I'm going to get pics of a model from start through assembly to painting to finished product, and then a photo of him and his friend with their armies set up on the playing table for a game.

I like to paint the models, and play against DH at home, but I don't play tournaments. He does, and because he's so into it, I really want to be sure to get a scrapbook layout of it for our book.

Thanks again for the fab ideas! It is really helpful for a newbie to get some pointers in the right direction.

I don't play Warhammer but my hubby and I do play so I know exactly what you are talking about. Plus I also paint minis. I am new at scrapping but as soon as I read your post I had an idea of making a page with a grid on it that could be the battlemat and taking the pics of the minis and putting them on the grid just as you would if you were playing. Well unless he plays by measuring instead of the battlemat method. Either way I would like to see and hear more about your book as I have thought about making one for our gaming group. Thanks and have a good one. Darth Shade
