Webshots

I am trying to get webshots going. This seems to be a favorite place to store pictures. I however am having to put a few at a time or it seems to get really bogged down. Does anyone know how much space you get on a free account?

Ang....the free basic membership allows you to store 240 personal photos and have 5 photo downloads a day. I don't know what your problem could be with the uploads other than that Webshots may be experiencing heavy traffic (weekend users) Also.....you can upload images in Screen Size or Full Size by clicking the appropriate radio button. If you camera takes large file images it could be uploading more than a few at a time could be your problem.

I'm getting a decent rate with about 18 at a time. I may have more than the

250.. will see... I was trying to upload 50 at once. I think there in lies the prob. Thanks Ang.

You area trying to upload 50 photos at once! I don't think I even HAVE

I'm really excited about getting my pictures on Webshots. It's a great way to BACK UP (lol) all my pics. Loving it. Should be done by the end of the day. Ang.

No no no... Lol.. I only have 18 pictures of my layouts. I have many other pictures, family, christmas... etc... that I am putting out there. A great way to back up. Another great one is Snapfish.com. I saw on the news a few months back where the consumer reporter did tests of online print ordering at good prices and snapfish.com was # 1 or 2. I have a snapfish account and for signing up you get so many FREE prints.. and I think that included shipping. The prints were terriffic, color great. I HIGHLY reccommending them. I also use wal-mart.com to order some if I need them right away, then you can order online and then go to the local Wally World an hour later and pick them up. They have really good 1 hr processing too. With snapfish you get them in about a week or so. So, if you can wait a little while for the pics to come in the mail it would be worth the wait. I'm not one to like to wait for my pics though. Ang.

What I like about snapfish too is that you can upload to snapfish and then pick up at the closest walgreen's one hour or so later. The price goes up from 12cents to 19 but then again there is no shipping charge.

I usually do about 10 or 12 at a time - no more than 20 or it gets very slow to upload them. If it slows down too much the upload will fail and you'll have to do it all over again!

I started with a free album but it didn't take long to fill them up, so DH bought me a subscription...

I'd love to see those pictures Ang. And the reason I have a big bag of letter is because I make a lot of selling mistakes, LOL! Could be because English is my second language. Though I make even more mistakes in my native tongue, LOL!
