I don't know if you would consider me reliable for rating a store as I am new to the group, but Your Scrapbook Superstore in Pigeon Forge, Tenn is well worth the stop on a trip theough the area. Their main store is fantastic. I can spend hours in there and not see everything. I found new items there and then saw them in the magazines a month later. But the best is their Clearance Center next door to the main store. When I can get embossed cardstock for twenty cents and magazines (back issues) and books for half price as well as everything else 50% off the already marked down price of 40-80% off I'm hooked. We go to SC a couple of times a year to pick up the grandson and the store is only about 12 miles off I40 at Knoxville. I've stopped both going and coming, especailly if the Clearance Center has been already picked over by the time I get there the first time. Sandy

Hi Sandy,

Thanks for sending this to my email account. If you're a scrapper and have been to a few scrapbook stores so that you can tell the difference betwee a good one and a great one than sure, we'd like to hear from you. I hope you don't mind if I only post it sometime towards the end of next week. Meanwhile based on what I'm reading, I'd guess this store is a 5 eyeket store?

It's good enough in my book to base our fall vacation plans on Gatlinburg just so I could get there before Christmas to buy presents for my scrapper group and stock up on supplies. The kids didn't mind because they were wanting to go to the Aquarium. But my husband ended up in the hospital with emergency gallbladder surgery and changed out plans, so I have volunteered to make the trip to SC with our oldest son in December to pick up the grandson for the holidays. It's a 13 hours down and 13 hours back trip with three drivers. Our scrapbook stores in Southern Indiana are limited. There are two small shops - each 22 miles in opposite directions from the rural area where I live. The Crop Shop in Vincennes always has a great selection of papers and they will order anything I want, but they are a small store. I'm not too fond of their classes offered. The Doodlebug is also a small store in Huntingburg, their embellishments and tools are a better selection, and they offer great classes. Love to go there for classes - I'm in a book club through Pine Cone Press with them. Their store is also small. The idea of big around here is the scrapbook section at Michaels or Hobby Lobby about 45 miles away in Evansville I buy quite a bit online through ebay and a couple of members of the pcscrappers group I belong to sell supplies to us as does the CM who comes every month as well as a Stampin' Up demonstrator. I've been to some stores in Myrtle Beach area and in the Atlanta, GA area and would definitely give Your Scrapbook Super Store a 5 based on what I've seen elsewhere. Sandy

Well you certainly fit in with all of us here who can't visit a new town without doing research to see if there is a scrapbook store before getting on the road! I've visited Gatlinburg a couple of times, but that was before scrapbook stores began to open. It really is beautiful there in the Smokies. Like yours, my hubby had gallbladder surgery this past August. Put a crimp in our plans as well. Hope your hubby has fully recovered!

It's nice that you have a group of scrappers to get together and have fun with. Before moving to Little Rock, I lived in a little town in Florida and the closest scrapbook store was a 40 minute drive away, well that is until 2 months before I left when a near empty little store and I mean very little store opened 5 minutes away. There are 4 scrapbook stores within 25 minutes of me here in Little Rock, so that is a treat. Well thanks again for the added info and we are glad that you've joined us here on RCS.

BTW do you post an of your layouts online? I'd love to see them.
