What is the most fun you've ever had scrapbooking?

AND did you scrap it, or will you? I thought we could use a light hearted topic! Frankly, I've done about 95% of my scrapbooking on my own in an empty house so I can't think of such a funny story to tell, but I'll bet there are a couple out there especially from some of you who go to LSS crops etc.

I have fun scrapping when ever I do it, but the time that stands out and gets talked about often with fondness is the time I asked a crafting buddy to go to a crop with me. She was dead set against scrapbooking I had been a hold out for a very long time myself. I told her I'd provide the pictures for her (we had gone on vacation together that year) she just had to come. I knew she would love it as I had found out I just needed to get her to try it.

By the end of the night she was hooked and has been scrapbooking probably more than me over the years. Every now and then when she talking about the next album she's starting or supplies she's purchased she'll jokingly say "It's all your fault!" Which I always respond with a "Mwah hahaha!"

I just started and I've done most of it by myself, the 1st time that I did it was with my boss MEL who got me started, but the bad part is that I have to ask her for some of her tools b.c I dont have my own yet.....I guess I am justs waiting for the right price....lol....

I'm hoping to do my most funnest (okay, that's sounded so kindergarten, didn't it? LOL) this weekend. I decided to photoshop some pictures I took of each of the kids (mine and the foster kids) as well as my husband. I cropped the original to look like a portrait, then took the original again and turned it into a charcoal drawing and a pastel painting. As for the paper and background, I'm still working on it because I haven't got the pictures back yet to know just how well they're going to turn out. The store I work for just started online photo finishing so I had to give it a shot. Can't wait to see how they turn out....... the pictures and the layouts that is........

The most fun I ever had at a crop was last month. I attended a crop at a Scrapbooking and stamping show. My two scrappin' friends loaded up our gear, traveled 45 min. and cropped for the whole day, then we went out for dinner, and came back to more cropping til midnight, and then we spent the night at a motel. We acted like girls at a slumber party!! what a hoot! One of my friends is a real NUT, and has NO shame.....we about died laughing when she had a **ahem** gas problem....and she took a walk around the show floor to rid herself of it, without anyone hearing her!!! ROFL!! Of course she kept giving us funny faces as she was doing it, which just made my tummy ache from laughing. I got 12 pages done that day, too! :) Linda C

Thanks for sharing Linda! I always wonder what kind of fun people have at crops that they keep on going back! I've had crops at my place which I've had fun at but so far I haven't really had fum at the LSS Friday crops. I'm reserved to go tomorrow, but I am not sure that I will.

My funnest scrapbooking experience was at the first convention Crop party I went to, we all were like friends and even kept in contact for a time afterward.

So far the most fun I have had was at some of the crops and the National Scrapbook Day that Patty and I have gone to. There is a bad pic of me from one of them on the RCS website, but hey, that just means we are gonna have to get together to do another one.

I remember you posting about the little boy a while back. I am sure that it is a big adjustment. How are you enjoying being a mommy? Have you taken him to Disney Wrld and Seaworld and all that good stuff yet? I'll bet you have hundreds of pictures to scrap now! Thanks for the comments on the website! You mentionned a while back sending your profile in. Please just go ahead and do that whenever! I'll need your date of birth, when you joined RCS, a short blurb about you and a link to an account where we can go and see your LO's if you have one. I'll also need a picture of you.

M-C P.S. that goes for anyone that wants their profile put up on the website that has been posting regularly to RCS for at least 3 months.
