What was your BEST scrapbook purchase ever?

I just loved Judy's tread on the worst and became curious as to what each of you thinks was the best scrapbook related thing you ever bought? Was it a tool, a magazine, a ticket to a class or expo?

I thinks it is harder for me to determine the best as there are a number of things that I use regularly. However I must say that as far as being compact and portable, doing the job and being versitile, my cutterpede fits tha bill. It took me a while to start using it regularly, but now I wouldn't do without it!

For me I would have to say my Colluzil cutting system is my favorite! I have tried others but for me it works the best! I like my xyrons as well I have the x box and the 510. Barb:o)

Hey M-C, you took my BEST! lol I definitely have to say my Cutterpede is the best thing that I've spent money on. Worth all $23 that I spent. Now I just need to get to the lss and buy a new blade for it. I love using it so much that I've already worn one out.

I have the Creative Memories personal trimmer and the Fiskers 12 inch cutter. I use the ALL the time. I'd have to say they were my best purchase. They were a couple of things I bought when I first started that another Scrapbooker told me I couldn't live without. She was right.

This is a tough one. Here are some of my favorites Perfect Layers Cutterpede Sizzix Sizzix Sidekick

I think perhaps the Perfect Layers is what I use the most. Linda B. Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. The best purchase would have to be the Xyrons. The second best is my Sizzix. I just got an embossing folder and can't wait to try it out!

Hi Cathy,

This past holiday season while buying gifts for the kids in the family I found a book for me from the Klutz line. Love those books. It's a quilling book full of simple patterns and the paper to make them. I'm looking forward to doing some fun things this year with it.

Well, this is actually more difficult, because I LOVE most of my scrapping goodies :) I don't have that much yet. I like to buy one "new thingy" and then practice with it untill I know it inside out...lol! Therefor I would have to say my favorite toy at this stage is my eyelet setter kit. First I only bought a hammer and two setters, but now I have a little stylish metal case by Making Memories with all the goodies in them. Just to look at it, is a pleasure! The lady at my lss said that I would have to be careful, because my DH could get "tool-envy" when he sees it! LOL There's stuff in there that I don't quite know how to use yet, like very huge needles...lol! I presume they are to thread the fibers through the eyelets, but haven't tried it yet.

And then I love mags for all the ideas in them, but most of our mags are imported from Oz or the States, so they are very expensive. However, last month I had such a surprise when I saw a LOCAL magazine. It was the 2nd edition. Somehow I missed the first and it gets published every second month. It's not even close on the quality of the overseas ones, but it's nice to get info on locally available stuff and I hope they will improve as they get more support in the coming months.

I dont have many scrapbooking things at the moment, I just got the making memories eyelet setting stuff so since those are my only tools they could be my best and worst. :-)

Let's see I would have to say my sizzix machine. I am working on getting at least one alphabet set this year and I'm trying to get more info. on the embossing folders. I love what you can do with the embossing but not sure how it works in the sizzix. Does anyone here have the embossing folders that they used that they could give some feedback on. I know that I would need to purchase the converter but thats it. I was in Michaels yesterday and they have several of the embossing folders (I think it was 3 or 4 to a package for $19.99).
