Brandi, sorry for the late answer. I have to say that, yes, the cutterpede is worth every penny I paid for it. It's a rotary blade so it works differently from the fiskars. It didn't take me long to get the hang of it though. It cuts straight because it cuts along the edge rather than down a channel in the middle. I've even been able to trim off the thinnest of strips smoothly when I needed to. It actually is bigger than 12", maybe 14". Go get one, you won't be sorry.

PS (to Brandi): It is the green one. Doesn't AC Moore have coupons like Micheals & Joanns? Maybe you could it cheaper that way.
