About fashion people in PARIS (France)

strange population has invaded the city. Most of them spend theirday watching what's happening in the streets. Everyone seems frozen ina posture. Most often standing, sheltered behind large plate glasswindows. Some lower their eyes, others seem to be watching youstubbornly. Sometimes they smile. They remain however discreet,staying behind the sidewalk. Although they were unknown, theirsilhouettes become familiar over the meetings. We can see a widevariety of profiles. However, they are all beautiful...Who are these thousands of people that we crossed in the streetwithout ever truly meet them? How the appearances build our judgments?What self-image we feel in watching others? How fashion dresses ourgaze? The "beautiful attitude" to fill the emptiness of ourrelationships? It's also an experimental work on light and color.

This exhibition includes more than 1200 images/portraits.

My feedback: Many beautiful things in Paris as they are, particularly in B&W. My credo: What doesn't add to a photograph, detracts from it.

I think someone got Photoshop for Christmas and overused it. Many people, including moi did that at first. A little restraint needed.

Like having dozens of decorative stitches on one's machine or embroidery disks: you don't have to use all of them one one garment or on every thing you make. JPBill
