Bobbin case - please help

Bobbin case - please help Hi, I have a Singer Inspiration 4210 and was doing great with it for a long time. Problem is that awhile back I changed the needle and it fell inside the machine. To retrieve the needle I had to take the bobbin case out. Since then, I have been trying to do simple hems of curtains and the bobbin case keeps moving. I am on my third one, as the last 2 have broken from their movement. I cannot figure how to get it back in and for it to stay put. It may work for a few minutes and then I have bird nesting again and then it jams completely. I have searched everywhere on-line and in my manual and I cannot find any help. The last bobbin case part I ordered I requested some kind of illustration or anything and they simply wrote on the invoice that they would not provide it. All the information I can find regarding the bobbin case and my model is how easy it is to use, which is frustrating I know I am threading the machine correctly and I've tried just about everything else; but I'm missing something when it comes to inserting the bobbin case. Any help is greatly appreciated. I would love to get all my sewing done and the amount of frustration I have is almost too much to measure Thanks in advance

maybe cheaper to take it to the sew shop,

pg 65 of "Singer Inspiration 4210" manual the section on "Replacing the Bobbin case" of your manual does a pretty good job and illustration of replacing the bobbin case. i am not sure you can get better instruction than that.

The only blip is there is no step that explicitly tells you to turn the little holding arm back to the holding position. That is... the arm you twist out of the way to take BC out has to be twisted back in the way when you put BC back in the macine

There is a little hinge on the bobbin case that you need to hold open while you insert the case into the machine. Also make sure the bobbin is going in the correct direction, clockwise. Hope this helps. Barbara in FL

It looks like a little ear with a slot in it. You turn it counter clockwise to remove the bobbin case and clockwise to secure it.
