Hi, I have a Brother 920d, actually it's my sister in laws and I have been making it "pretty" for her. :) not reall --- just cleaning it, oiling it an d making sure it works well. It was handed down from a family member to her and has been sitting a while. It is in excellent running condition, The ti ming is PERFECT --- it loops AWESOME, but I noticed one of the tensions was not tightening or loosening, so it was a little off. :((( When turning the dial the plastic "gear" piece in there is definitely stripped, I can feel the teeth rubbing and it just turns. :((( There is also another plastic pie ce inside there that snapped as well. I called brother to order a new tension assembly and they won't sell it to me. I was told it is an "internal part" and that it is "classified" so they can't sell it to me. I have to go to a dealer. The nearest dealer to me is 77 miles...
The machine doesn't need anything else and I can put the assembly on myself (if they sell it as one piece --- I really don't want to put it together i n a million pieces! I can but I know they are so much of a pain, lol). So....does anyone know of a site that may have a tension assembly for this machine??? (it's the green one, upper looper...)
