dog scarves

Well, I just got creative and made my own! They turned out quite nice!!! Couldn't quite figure out how to embroider on each side to make them reversable, but I got it! Thanks to all! Behavin

Why do dogs need scarves? I grew up with dogs in the house and don't recall them having a need for a scarf. Perhaps someone could enlighten me.

fashion! they want to look cool, be with it..... my condo association even has scarves for the dogs on neighborhood watch patrol!

sunglasses are only for when they go undercover duty.

Seems a dog could get 'hung up' with this scarf, on a bush or something, and not be able to breath? But then again I could be missing something.

The dogs are on leashes, or indoors. *NOT* left out on their own.

For dress up. Mine wear them to 'functions' like visiting the nursing home, or the hospital. Actually we have special ones for the hospital that shows my Rottie's have been health checked and are good to go. They also have ones just for fun with fur and feather trims.....Leather Beaded and fringed ones are just for Powwows though. Sunglasses are optional but accepted for outdoor events.

My sister does that with her chocolate Lab. Of course Chelsea, the dog, has a favorite that she prefers. ;)

However my SisIL's bulldog prefers the scarves Aunty Sharon has made for him. *ahem* He has a basket full of them. (and his petite little neck is too large to get a bandana around... lol) Goliath will actually go to the basket and rootle through till he finds the kerchief he wants to wear. Then he brings it to DSIL for her to put on him. lol He really is a character. If he were a human we'd call him a clotheshorse. lol

My dog wears them because I put them on him and then make a huge fuss about how handsome he is!!! ;) He had a red polar fleece one (scrap from DS's hoodie) with Merry Christmas embroidered on it for the holiday. ;) Made one for his pal down the street (130 lbs. of Golden/Chow mix with a marshmallow center lol) that was red with Ho-Ho-Ho embroidered on it. Now that was a sight to see!!! lol
