After months of trying to connect to alt.sewing on my new computer, I'm finally back. I was using google once in awhile but have a strong dislike for it. I fell like I've reconnected with an old friend. I have reconnected with old friends. I look to this group for inspiration. life has been a bit hectic around here with multiple visits to my dentist and for physical therapy. I'm almost done with the dentist and finished with therapy. I hope to make a new pocket book this week and finish a skirt as soon as my invisible zipper foot arrives from Ron. I know it's on the way, got a message from Ron today saying it's in the mail. Juno

Welcome back. Your last name is appearing as part of your message ID ? It's usually an easy thing to leave out - along with kludging the email address - for a tiny bit of extra privacy / anonimity ... I'm not familiar with Thunderbird, though - sorry. John T.

That's such a great feeling , I had to use googlegroups for a couple of months, oh that spam ! it's a sad place. Welcome back
Happy for you, both for getting back to alt.sewing AND having you health issues cleared up.
I think you'll love the walking foot, I use mine all the time.
