Gifts for men and dtrs-in-law

Loved the thread about gifts for boys, because I have two grandsons, BUT I also have sons and some nice daughter-in-laws, who live far away, and I'm not sure what I could sew for them. One son is a paramedic in a big city, the other an electrical engineer. One daughter-in-law is an RN, and the other one is studyiing to be an RN, but is trained as an EMT and at present works in a doctor's office. One likes gardening, the other likes working out and is interested in diets.

Any ideas? Or good general ideas? It's always nice to be able to do something that is nice. I'm open.

How about a envelope thing that will hold two decks of cards. Microwave mini pot holders. For the ones that work in the medical field how about a cover for the stethoscope (sp?) or a scrub outfit in a nice print. One that likes gardening get some nice fabric with flowers on it and make pot holders, a toaster cover, a tea cozy.

The link for mini pot holders for the microwave..
