Google is your friend:
Already done that and found only one reference to what I asked (one furniture company) All the other references are about sheepskin with wool. I want to know whether the soft lamb leather that is a bit like kid can be used for chairs. It is probably too fragile. Most I have seen seems to be 1oz and cow leather for upholstery seems to be 3oz.
Ok, sorry for being redundant.
I have not tackled upholstering a chair (and a simple Danish modern dining chair at that) with anything other than upholstery grade faux suede. Is this a dining room chair or a full-on lounge chair with cushions, piping, rolled arms, etc.? I think the cost of the materials and the labor involved would lead me to use the sturdier leather, YMMV.
