Before you take it apart, try turning the hand wheel backwards. Often this will release the bind.

This happened to me once. You can dismantle the bobbin area in the machine with a simple screw. Before you do this, be sure you know exactly what it looks like when it is seated in there properly. Take a picture of it with your camera or check to see if your manual has a good enough drawing of the the area to know which way it faces. I personally took a picture of mine since if you do not align it correctly when you put it back in your machine will not work. After you remove it, get the threads out using tweezers, re-seat the casing into your machine and screw it back in. Then you can put your bobbin back in and you should be ready to go. I hope this helps. Somewhere I have a repair manual for the featherweight, I will look for it and if I find it, I will let you know.
