I made this doorhanger:

my new great-nephew, edited it to include *his* name. And I purchased the blanket DN had on her registry but had to dress it up a bit:

hope that works, Comcast has changed their web tools, I haven't found a way to enter captions, but I think they are pretty self-explanatory. Beverly

That is adorable. I am sure your DN will love it.

Beautiful Beverly! Did you edge the blanket as well? I am sure they will treasure it.

That's really cute, Beverly. She needs to hang the door hanger on the front door and leave it there. ;-)

I currently have a "No Solicitor's" sign on my door, which replaces one of my all-time favorites:

Thanks! I was planning on taking the blanket to her today, but I've come down with a nasty chest cold. I'm giving her a shower Feb 10, so she'll get a bunch of stuff then.

Thanks, Kirsten. No, the Very Expensive Blanket ® came with the pretty edge from Baby's R Us. I just added the baby's initials. What's up with receiving blankets that cost the earth???

Thanks Joanne. I'm thinking about making another one

*without* his name for the exterior door.

As long as people buy them they will be sold I guess.

My niece had a couple of prefolded diapers with a small triangle of pretty fabric >

Oh! Yes!!! That would be soooo cool! It works with our somewhat less literate visitors who didn't seem to understand "No missionaries."

My mama** wanted me to mention this earlier: they did not do a very good job on the edging. I waited until you described your part in its creation (which did not include the edging).

**sometimes she won't leave me alone, and then we communicate more than we did before October '99.

Glad to see that you did the pretty embroidery and not the rest.

I love you previous one. That's perfect. DH or I will stand at the front window, in full view of the front door, when we see someone a preaching coming down the drive and just look and then walk away from the window, They do get the hint. Then again I never open the front door without looking out the window first. Don't usually answer to politicians either. That's about all we get in the way of any type of solicitors. Most don't want to walk down our very long drive only to have to walk back a hill again. I knew that hill up to the road would serve a good purpose. Juno

??? I guess it doesn't show well in the photo, it's actually quite a pretty edging, it looks a little like a scalloped crochet edge, but of course it's done by machine.

Thanks!

No, that's okay Beverly, Maybe when we sell and move into an apartment. Of course that might take awhile so don't hold your breath waiting. Juno

Ah, well it would work as well on a condo or apartment door, so let me know. ;-)

I'll email you, ma'am, as ordered.

Seriously, thanks.
