OT and sewing

I just got home, at noon today, from 21 fantastic days at Cape Cod. The weather was glorious. We had sun, blue skies and just warm enough weather. On the way home stopped at youngest DD's, yesterday, to celebrate her birthday. Continued home this morning. Now to sewing, well sort of sewing. I brought out a bunch of projects and sort of did some sewing. I finally got DH in tow to measure the hem on the jeans style pants I made and did up the hem, lengthened a pair of casual Lee's that shrank a bit. Started making a new town purse it's almost finished and started making new cushion covers for the furniture in the cottage living room. Unfortunately,no really fortunately, the weather was so good I said forget it and usually took myself of to the beach or backyard to read or some other beach type activity instead.:) My next door Cape neighbor has offered me the use of her workroom, next time I go out, to finish the cushions. She also offered the use of her industrial machine if I want to use it. I'll probably work on the cushions here at home and finish them up out there when I go back in July. Of course you do realize that if the weather is a fabulous as it was this trip the covers may have to wait until August. Now I have many posts to read here. Juno

So that's why it's been so quiet, I have been wondering where you were.

That huge flash of intense green you just saw was from OR. We just set a new all-time record in PDX for the latest day in June to reach our first 80F day. It's been a very wet, cold, wet, did I say WET!?? yet, May and June.

Let 'em wait, life's too short to not enjoy sunshine at the beach.

Welcome home, Juno, I missed you.

Beverly, I'd be glad to send you some Cape Cod weather, but it doesn't travel well. Thanks for the welcome back. It's nice to know I was missed. Juno

Thank you Emily. I am too. As much as I love being at the cottage I'm always glad to come home, see and write Hyde Park and "e" friends. It was a very relaxed time, but like Dorothy, "There's no place like home!" Juno
