Yesterday at my home.

Yesterday I was lucky enough to have Cheryl, Meg and Elizabeth over. We started with a visit to my Mom's button room. (My parent live across the street). My mother is an avid and knowledgeable button collector. She is president of 2 local button clubs and pass president of the New England Regional Button Association. She give lectures and has been hired by museums to catalog and mount their collections. She has an impressive display and bins cataloged be criteria. She is currently the judging chairman for regionals. We had a lot of fun going through her poke boxes and I am lusting at a button bracelet she made of waistcoat buttons.

After trooping back across the street (and being locked out of the house by DH) we ordered Chinese for lunch, and did a little stitching. I got to show off WIPS and various finished pieces. We had tea and cookies and had a really interesting afternoon. Meg brought me a ladybug garden spinner, and Elizabeth brought us each a skein of Silk and Ivory. Cheryl brought each of us a mug and "sipping chocolate". I exchanged loafs of Tannenbaum Brot.

I am really blessed to have great friends and so many of them through this group. Bobbie V.

I met Cheryl and Brat when I was in Maine summer before last, would love to have been there yesterday. Did you say enough in front of your mama that the bracelet will turn up in your possession next week??

I already own a color-clear glass bracelet and a black glass one. I also have 2 mounted trays of buttons. One in clear colored glass and the other is ladybugs in a variety of materials and techniques. (One of them is very rare and Mom remarked "I can't believe I'm giving you that one.")

I can't be greedy I have 8 younger sisters and brothers. This Christmas mom has made up trays for all the grandchildren. Last year great grandbaby Kaito got a mounted Beatrice Potter collection.
