Hi Angela , i found this chart which I think will help you decide how much fabric you need for the pillows. Even though I don't usually make welts you still need about the same amounts for knife edge pillows. If you want welting I think purchased is easier sometime.

Bobbie,there is an error in this. 18 -24 inch pillows should be 2 1'2 yards according to the chart. The posting was unintentional. I wasn't wearing my glasses when I did it. I didn't look where I was answering my DDIL. If it helps I'm glad to have made the error. When she told me the cost of the fabric she wants to buy I almost had a heart attack and I'm trying to talk her out of it. Juno
