recurve bow case

My daughter is a budding seamstress as well as an archer and would like to sew a case for her bow. To buy one costs approximately $35 new. Any suggestions, advice or reccomendations for web sites are appreciated.

get some coated 1,000 denier ballistic nylon, bulk zipper (by the yard), some automotive headliner, nylon webbing etc.. thats about $30.. but you end up with a better product, and sturdier material.

Draw the shape of the bow onto the fabric, figure how much of a gusset you need, and go from there. It will pretty much put itself together.

Be sure that the machine can handle ballistics cloth ( many home machines can't) and use a good quality thread too, reference the outdoor tips page posted a bit earlier for more information on how to set up a machine for heavy stuff
