right-angle eye tape

I may never have new pants again -- my pattern calls for sewing on four hooks and twenty eyes, and I'm completely burned out on sewing on eyes. And I can't do without the adjustability that twenty eyes allow.

I've discovered that there is such a thing as eye tape with the eyes at right angles to the length of the tape -- it's made for making adjustable closures in bras. I have not found any evidence that anybody sells it retail.

With the clue that it's for making bras, I thought I could find it at a lingerie-making supplier, but all I've found is pre-made bra-back closures. It would be expensive to buy my eyes in this form, and I suspect that picking off the plush, cutting up the closure, and sewing strips end-to-end would be more work than sewing on twenty eyes.

I have looked at my French wholesalers website and now I know I am looking for agraffes & ports sur ruban! It seems Prym make it and here in France I can get it from a couple of wholesalers or Amazon France.

It's more of corset thing, I think. "corset hook and eye" on the google turns up some places selling it. Don't know if they're suitale for your needs, of course.
