TSWLTH = The Store We Love To Hate, AKA "JoAnn's Fabrics" (mostly cruddy crafts).

Lots of stories about take-overs and possible bankruptcies, but I see nothing definite. Its a private company now, so financial results are not readily available.

"Leonard Green Partners took them private in 2011".

Not particularly a good sign...

Don't really know, Ron. The only TSWLTH within 100 miles of here it really awful. Nice big store, invisible cutters, 75% dusty junk. I only go there when my cutting mats must be replaced. Polly

I haven't heard anything either and the one less than 10 miles from is always very well stocked/staffed. Always several people in the store buying when I'm there and their sales really pack them in.

Don't think so. They just opened a large store in Paramus (NJ - home to more malls than....)

I haven't heard anything here about it, but I seldom ever go to their stores anymore. There's too much crafty stuff, and most of the clerks hired in the past 3-4 years are rude and have a very limited knowledge of sewing and even their stock. Emily
