Serger Recomendations

Hello All:

Any recommendations on a good, reasonably priced, Serger?

Any thoughts on this one?

*element_C_product*CT_DP_Sewing_RM_Sept_New_Arrivals&ccm=CT|ct0052 My thoughts on buying any sewing equipment is to TRY IT OUT FIRST. Go to the dealer, take along several kinds of fabric you might be putting through it, and give it a test drive. I would not even consider making this kind of purchase online, unless I KNEW it was the best machine at the best price FOR ME. And you probably will not be receiving warrantee service and/or repair service from an online dealer unless you are willing to pay the shipping both ways.

Just my $ .02.

I would be very leery of buying that machine. The one review is so negative about HSN I wouldn't trust them about a sewing machine of any kind. I second Beverly. Go to a dealer, not WalMart or Costco or Target, or even Joann's. You need to spend some time looking, and sewing with your own material. I wouldn't buy more machine than you need,. Decide what it is that you want it to do and go from there. Juno

Never been impressed with Singer sergers: built down to a price rather than up to a build quality.

Gotta love my Brother 1034D: £199

And my Bernina 1150MDA: £585
