sewing more curtains

I started working on curtains again. This time for my Living Room. They will again be plain white muslin with a navy blue bias tape edge. I find they look the best with my decor. Simplicity is my watch word.

Nice, sounds crisp and cool.

They sound very nice and funny how bias tape can really set off what would normally be plain white curtains.

I'm working on new kitchen curtains. They're red plaid and I've got the cafe portion done and hanging; now I'm working on the valance.

My first sewing on my mother's machine was attaching ball fringe on the mus lin curtains my mother was making for the living room windows. She told me later she thought I would never learn to sew. (She began hand sewing at a ge 3 1/2 in prekindergarten, making clothes for the baby expected shortly. this was in the 1890s.) I did learn from her and made most of my clothes in my teens, with little or no help.
