Hi, I bought some sherpa suede fabric and I am afraid my machine can't handle the thickness. I thought about looking on ebay for an affordable machine that can handle the thickness. Can anyone give me any ideas what to look for on ebay or elsewhere that is somewhat affordable? Thank You, Brenda

There is a lot of info about sewing sherpa here. But I'm wondering if sewing with leather needs something like what sewing mulitple layers of canvas. Someone on here recently was talking about sewing leather and having the leather cling to the needle as it came out of the stitch resulting in skipped stitches. Now, this is only speculation on my part...but since a lubricant is *strongly* suggested to be applied frequently to the needle while sewing could the same apply here?
Another site suggested using a walking foot. Hope this helps, AK in PA
Thank you AK, the webpage was full of useful information. I saved it on my computer so that when I work up the courage, it will be handy. Brenda
