simple kerchief ( don't laugh )

Hi all ;

I'm wishing to replace my elderly senile mothers ratty old wollen toque with something else - any brimmed hat would probably not work because she is in bed a lot - so I was thinking of a kerchief - but one that's easy - elasticized ? - rather than needing to be tied up ... Any ideas ? Keep it simple. Thx. Of course I'm going with bright gawdy colours ! :-) John T.

I have made turbans for several cancer patients who have lost their hair during treatment. If you use a soft cotton knit, it will be comfortable as well as launderable, and a lot more stylish than a kerchief. Here are a few patterns:

Thanks. I thought a turban meant a big high thing - not so ! Some of these might work well. John T.

But pay attention. Stretch knits mostly stretch one way and not so much the other. It's important when you're cutting. Polly
