singer chain stitch?

My Mom and I were in an antique store today and we saw the strangest looking machine. I wish I had taken a picture, but the only thing online that I can find that looks similar is a chain stitch machine. It was about the same size as a feather weight, but weighed about 3 times as much. They booth owner had put this machine in a feather weight case, so it is the same size when the feather weight is folded.

Anyone know anything about chain stitch machines? are they valuable like feather weights?

Thanks!

Could be an industrial model 24. Rather old and not terribly valuable. If you google that model I am sure it will come up with a photo.

Chain stitching was easy to remove, just grab and pull, and so this was good as a basting machine, especially for production work. Not good for much else.
