Bit of an odd question perhaps, and clearly a shot in the dark, but anyone have any experience spray painting cordura fabric?
I need to get a small back-pack for military use, and would like to get a camoflauge one, unfortunately, anything made from camoflauged cordura in the right size is far to expensive... so I'm thinking I'll get a khaki one and spray paint a bit of a break up pattern on it.
Has anyone ever spray painted cordura before? Does the paint last on it?
I wouldn't expect standard spray paint to do well; it's not very flexible.
Nylon dyes well, so you might want to consider sponging on the correct colors of dye, or using one of the flexible fabric paints that go on in very thin layers. See

FWIW, I used fabric paint - the kind for T-shirts and such - on Cordura and nylon packcloth once upon a time. It didn't stick very well and peeled off over time. However, I didn't put it on thin - it was designed to go on in thick beads.
It seems the coatings on these fabrics prevent things from sticking well.
