First full bust adjustment!

I am so happy with this! It's taken me nearly 2 years (thats how long I've been sewing) to get up the courage to do it and I did it and it was like magic! There was no pulling on the armholes, the neckline sat flat against my chest and best of all there was coverage! I used the article here:

cut the pattern and spread it by 2cm for a C cup. The pattern I was using had under bust gathers so I just gathered it more, and the side dart I converted to ease but next time I'll use a dart for this particular pattern because it looks neater. When I first made this pattern the neckling waved and gaped and the armholes pulled and now it all just sits beautifully! Here's a pic:

just wanted to thank everyone so so much because reading this group slowly builds my courage and I feel that I'm very slowly moving out of beginner-dom!

That's an excellent result! Well done! The thing that most people new to this forget is that you need to as LENGTH over the bust point as well as width!

Those directions are nice and clear, too.

It ended up turning out that way I think! After I did it the line at the bottom was uneven so I straightened it by adding to it - is that correct? Or should I add more? I'm so excited I'm going to adjust everything now!!!!

If in doubt, add: you can always trim it off, but you can't add it on if it's too short!

Hey, great job!

Australian Stitches magazine had an issue a few years back devoted to the subject of full-bust adjustments and style choices. It might be worth dropping a few dollars for to get their excellent advice that I found very helpful personally.
