Well, DD started college today. She's staying at home at least this firstyear and going to the University of Arkansas. It's 20 minutes away. :) I still cried. lolPeach season has been in full swing out here. I've been making and canningpeach jam. mmmmmmm hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhyytttttttttttttttttthh (Tickles the Kitty says hello!) And today I made some pear butter. Nextweek the apples will be coming in so that will be time for apple butter. If you don't hear from me for a while........ lolIn the sewing room, I've just about got the t-shirt to romper licked. ;) Iwill get pictures and post them as soon as it goes in the mail. I forgot totake pictures as I went along, but I will 'splain how I did it. I havealso been doing alterations and mending. Mended a canvas boat cover lastweek. That was interesting. ;) (was for my wonderful neighbors, and theyhelped "wrangle" it.) I also need to get up some pictures of the summertops I've been making myself. Love the pattern so much, I have made 2 andhave fabric for 2 more. ;)Oh!!! Our local Wal-Mart is remodeling. I was Scared!!! BUT!!!!!!! I wasin there one morning and waylaid one of the managers who is in from corp. They are NOT taking the fabric dept. out of this store, and they are NOTgoing to pre-cut/packaged yardage. He said they tried that in some stores,and I cut him off mid-word and told him how HORRIBLE that mess is. He saidthat was the general reaction from customers. (heh heh) They do have some fabrics marked way down, just to snag attention as peoplewalk by the new fabric dept, that is way out of the way from the old one. I scored some really nice interlock knit. Feels like 100% cotton, or closeto it. Have not burn tested yet. Periwinkle blue...my fave. :) 60" wide. It was 50¢/yard!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FIFTY CENTS PER YARD!!!!!! My eyeballspopped out of my head like Daffy Duck. There were 6 yards on the bolt andI bought the whole thing. (Jammies are at the top of the list. Maybe agown and...

Sure, I often discover I need to clean my camera lens at midnight.

What in the name of all that's rational makes that garment worth $229??? I mean, I pay 10% of that for jammies, who in their right mind thinks $229 pajamas are worth that price???

Speaking of which, what makes "MicroModal®" a high-end fabric?. Let's see what google finds:
