Totally OT but so beautiful

Dear friends,

most of the page the link leads to is in German but that shouldn't scare you off. It's part of an online advent calendar that delights its fans since

1998. Personally I discovered it only a few years ago. Tom's Adventskalender surprises, amazes or just touches the beholder every day from 1. December to Christmas Eve with something on the net, maybe a video on youtube, or a link or just some facts. I remember that some years ago somebody (not necessarily on this group) posted a view of earth at night. Here's the 2012 version. And the video message from the ISS is nice, too. Enjoy...

Thanks, Ursula. It's a real time sink! I'm taking it a bit at a time, and enjoying it very much. Pity I don't read German, though. I'm sure I'd enjoy it all the more if I did!

This is my "usual" advent calendar:

Oh, that's a nice one! Cute animations! But if you think the calendar is a time sink, check out this one:

The page is from a women's magazine and I started the games on that one to get down my stress levels. Meanwhile, I have to curb myself really hard not to spend my entire time there. It does, however, help to take your mind from the humdrum after a day with the Demon Fairy. ;-)

P.S. The games are dead simple; arrange the jewels to three in a row to make them disappear, click on two or more beauty items to the same effect, shoot bubbles of the right colour to two or more to make them burst... And don't blame me, I warned you! ;-)

I play one similar to that at

and I must say (blowing on fingernails) I've gotten pretty good at bank shots. Unfortunately, it's 2-dimensional and does not translate to a pool table in its 3-dimensions.
