Embossing on Metal?

Nov 06, 2003 2 Replies

Hi I would like to emboss a silver color on a piece of brass jewelryl. Will any kind of embossing powder stick? Thanks!

Well, I embossed on metal photo corners and aluminum eyelet letters with no problem. I just rubbed the pieces on my embossing inkpad, sprinkled on the powder and heated it up... quite nice too! Be careful handling afterward though, ouch ouch hot hot.

I don't know if you'll get a true silver over brass, but I bet it would be neat anyway.

I saw on Caroll Duvall they did it on pewter stickers from Magenta. It seemed just fine.
